Psychology with Abelina offers 50-minute Telehealth Psychological Therapy Sessions

Individual therapy with me is a collaborative, grounding, and deeply compassionate process designed to support adult women seeking meaningful, long-term change.

My approach weaves together trauma-informed care, mind–body awareness, and evidence-based therapeutic modalities, creating a space where you can safely explore your inner world and

move toward greater clarity, connection, and self-trust.

What can you experience in our therapy sessions together?

Trauma-Informed & Somatic-Based Support

My work is guided by the understanding that our bodies hold lived experience. Together, we gently explore sensations, emotional cues, and nervous system patterns to build safety, regulation, and resilience. This is not about reliving trauma — it’s about creating space for healing at a pace that feels supportive, grounded, and empowering.

Nervous System Regulation

Regulation is central to wellbeing. I integrate tools that help you understand and support your nervous system, including breathwork, grounding techniques, movement, and strategies to reduce overwhelm and burnout. These practices help cultivate a greater sense of internal stability and capacity.

Inner Child & Self-Compassion Work

Many present-day challenges are rooted in earlier experiences of disconnection or unmet needs. Through inner child work, compassionate inquiry, and gentle exploration, we work toward healing these internal layers and building a more nurturing relationship with yourself.

Mindfulness & Presence

Mindfulness helps you slow down, tune in, and respond rather than react. I incorporate both informal and guided mindfulness practices to deepen self-awareness, emotional balance, and connection to the present moment.

Psychodynamic Exploration

Unconscious patterns often shape how we move through the world. Using a psychodynamic lens, we explore your relational history, attachment patterns, and internal narratives to understand how past experiences influence current behaviour, relationships, and emotional responses.

CBT & DBT-Informed Techniques

When helpful, I draw on practical, skills-based strategies from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. These approaches support you in developing coping skills, reframing unhelpful thoughts, improving emotional regulation, and strengthening communication and boundaries.

Spiritually-Aligned Approaches

For those who feel drawn to it, I incorporate gentle, spiritually-oriented perspectives — such as meaning-making, intuition, and energetics of healing — always guided by your comfort and beliefs. This layer is entirely optional and adaptable.

Who I do not provide services for:

​

To ensure safe and specialised care, I do not offer therapy for:

  • ADHD or ASD assessments or treatment

  • Legal/forensic presentations

  • Substance use concerns

  • Domestic violence matters

  • Eating disorders

  • NDIS reports or therapy

  • Psychotic disorders

  • Children or adolescents, family therapy, or couples therapy

If you are seeking support for any of the above, I encourage you to visit your GP for a referral to a psychological service who can support you in these areas.

​Payment Information:

​

The session fee is $220.00 AUD per appointment

​

You can self-refer or obtain a referral from your GP

​

If you have a Mental Health Care Plan Referral from your GP, you may be eligible for a rebate from Medicare of $98.95 per session (Medicare allows 10 total therapy sessions per calendar year)

​

You may also be able to claim a rebate through your own Private Health Insurance if you have one​​​​​​​​​
